Planetary Formulas FULL SPECTRUM ANTLER VELVET is a tonifier that has been widely used in China for more than 2,000 years. Antler velvet is the early stage of antler growth and is a rich source of collagen, glycosaminoglycans, and glycoproteins all which support the skeletal system. Planetary Formulas Antler Velvet is regenerated ever year and harvested with great care in a humane manner by specially trained farmers or veterinarians who conform to the National Velvet Standards Body (NVSB) of New Zealand. Traditionally, antler velvet has been used to restore, balance and strengthen the body, support joint function, and cultivate an overall feeling of well-being. Deer antler has been one of the most highly respected vitalizing tonics of Asia since the time of Confucius (551 B.C.) more than 2,000 years ago. Deer antler contains many organic compounds that are integral to the health of bone and tissue such as phospho- and glycolipids, collagen, and glycoaminoglycans. It also contains a growth factor (growth factor 1) which is an integral part of joints and skeletal tissues.
Despite many requests for this product, Planetary Formulas did not develop it until we could guarantee a consistent high quality supply from a humane source. We were able to accomplish both. Planetary Formulas Full Spectrum Antler Velvet is a unique combination of elk and deer antler velvet harvested in a humane manner in accordance with the national standards established by the Game Industry Board, the New Zealand Veterinary Association, and Animal Welfare Commission of New Zealand. Harvesting of the antler velvet is done under the care of certified handlers or veterinarians so the animals are subjected to the minimum amount of stress. Most importantly, harvesting deer antler in this manner minimizes the number of animals that are killed for meat, hides and trophies
